MS FOR HS CREDIT ~ SPANISH IB COURSE
Spanish IB class is designed for 8th-grade students, who completed at least 1 year in Spanish. Students in the MS for HS credit course continue to strengthen their Spanish skills in SWRL. Students improve & show growth in all the essential language areas (SPEAKING, LISTENING, READING, WRITING), as they cover real-life topics within popular thematic units (e.g., family, action verbs, sports, foods, expressions of like/dislike, present tense).
Spanish IB students review and utilize their background knowledge to transition into new material; they successfully complete various Spanish PBL (Project Based Learning) activities, & assessments.
They also become more familiar with the structure of Spanish, increase vocabulary, develop global awareness, and model growth in SWRL. As a result, students are prepared to confidently transition to Spanish II in HS.
