Duolingo is the #1 recommended Spanish application for daily Spanish language practice. It is an awesome tool that challenges multiple levels, as it introduces topics and themes that students will be introduced to in Spanish (Exploratory, IA & IB classes). Duolingo is a great Spanish learning application that encourages repetition, the usage of high frequency vocabulary, sentence structure, etc., while challenging SPEAKING, WRITING, READING, & LISTENING skills. It's a very well-balanced program that provides students with numerous audio/listening, speaking, writing, and reading comprehension activities that build vocabulary. , create sentences, through repetition, uses visual supports, etc. It permits students to practice Spanish at their own pace & serves as a great motivational tool that provides incentives "power-ups, etc." based on the practice time. I highly recommend Duolingo to students who intend on going beyond the 6th grade Exploratory course (Spanish IA in 7th & Spanish IB in 8th) to obtain the World Language high school credit.
*ROCKALINGUA is a fun interactive program that is beneficial for multi-levels( EXPLORATORY, SPANISH IA & IB). ROCKALINGUA contains a variety of essential Spanish learning material, including: interactive games, notes, flashcards, reading activities, comprehension and vocabulary assessments, and more. Students of 2019-2021 will access the ROCKALINGUA website to FULL VERSION of ROCKALINGUA, as the free version is very limited. assignments and activities by following the link. *NOTE: You must og into your account, using your USERNAME and PASSWORD to access all ROCKALINGUA material, also it allows the teacher to track students progress (scores, etc.) and share with parents. The "Remote Learning Resources" page provides students/parents with access to a list of Spanish resources that may be implemented into the student's her schedule as a daily practice for the remaining of the school year and beyond. Students who are currently registered for Spanish (EXPLORATORY, SPANISH I & II) who desire more practice and new Spanish learning opportunities to help them develop their Spanish language skills may access the below material. *Note: Current students will receive codes for Google Classroom, Pear Deck, etc.
